I also encouraged them to try some of the local cafes that are tucked away in the charming lanes of St Ives, where the food and drink added another layer to their experience.

After a few days of being up and about, exploring the best of Cornwall’s sights, I knew a touch of relaxation would be in order. I had planned a trip to The Pig Hotel at Harlyn Bay for some spa treatments which ended up being the perfect way to unwind. Diane opted for a bespoke massage, while Carolyn went for a facial. It was the ideal balance of pampering and rest, giving them a well-deserved break from their busy itinerary.
